Seoul Survivors RFC

For the entire month of November members of the Seoul Survivors Rugby Club have been putting their mustache growing ability to the test for charity. During this time these gentlemen raised money by showing off their hairy upper lip to the world. This past Sunday Mo-vember participants and friends gathered at Scrooges Pub in Itaewon for our Mo-vember Charity Shave Off.

Before the shave off some awards were given to a select few Mo’s as voted on by the bar patrons. The winner of “Best Mustache” went to Phil Guerrero, “Best King Se-jong the Great” to Nathan Atkins and “Best Dictator” to Nick Goodman. During the shave off mustaches were auctioned off with the highest bidder having the honor of doing the shaving. Kurtis Taogaga took it one step further and auctioned off the shaving of his chest along with his Mo. Not to be outdone RJ Karas one-upped him and ended up looking like a bad advertisement for body hair removal for men.

When all the donations had been tallied from the Mo growers' donations, 50/50 draw and Mo shave off auction over 4 million won was raised for Seondeokwon (선덕원) Girls Orphanage. The Seoul Survivors would like to thank everyone who donated money and those who came down to Scrooge Pub on Sunday to bid in the auction. Thanks to Simon and Sunny of Tiwi Trade for donating some New Zealand wine for prizes. Another big thanks to the owner of Scrooges, Mr. Ken, for also donating prizes and hosting the shave off at his establishment.
