With a rain soaked morning, and calls of another trip to the MUD BOWL, the day was starting off in a pretty losy way- But on arrival - we were assured to be playing on the best pitch ever (in Korea)- With the drizzel fading the warm-up sessions saw a few laughs and near concussion for old Justin, The crowd gathered and the Select Uni team turned up-----

It was all go for them from the start! With the referee delivering a wicked one sided penalty count ( 8-1) in the first 20 mins,,we were struggling from the onset!! Our defensive line was strong and but their ability to recycle and retain and get fast ball got the better of us and we soon cracked!!      The hits were big from both sides and our newly equainted forward pack started to get a roll on !! The Koreans tackeling was text book, they didn't commit to many to the breakdown and their rush defense was some what amazing or really a JOKE due to the refs inability to look beyond the area of the tackle and the Uni boys were on to our halves all day, so the kicking game was employed to good use and several close calls went against us and we made too many mistakes to really threaten them!!  They seemed to score at will and several defense lasps by our backs(myself & mauke) cost us a 3rd try!
Finally the ref started to play an even hand and we moved down the pitch in some well worked forward play!!  We pushed the last pass too often and made it even more difficult for ourselves, but we got right back into it with a great display of forward control mixed in with a bit of back flair, Finally we were over courtesy of Tobias and we were breaking them down!!!

At half time we regathered - and we went about it again with much more composure- They scored first, a realitively soft try after 10 minutes of great defense from the team!! The crowd was right behind us and we played well and spent alot of time in their half, inroads through great forward drives and some clever kicking kept us moving, the new forwards were jelling and everyone was enjoying themselves. Changes were made -most got a run and another try was scored by both teams - Another debutant crossed, Jono was on the end of another great drive by the forwards and the team looked set to keep the momentum going. In the last ten we kept them in their own half and Sam was busier then most bringing it back half a dozen times from their kicks within their own 20.Finally the show was over and the team walked off rueing their few mistakes but knowing we gave it to them and we earned their and the crowds respect.Final score 30-12
Overall it was a clean game and all the new guys showed their hand in what I reckon was a great foundation game to heads us toward the end of the Yellow Sea Cup!!
The Korea & China game was awesome and the Koreans played a great game and simply outclassed the tourist and won 100-3   Very entertaining !!!

Post match celebrations saw the timely tradition of Tequilla Omelettesx 8 and the beers and presentations were great!!!  Another great day !!

Thanks boys wicked job- sorry not too much detail, I'm tired, hungover and well I'm off for a beer NOW!!!
