The tour began as most Survivor Tours do, with a couple problems prior to check in at the airport. Justin was the first to receive 2 fines. The first was for forgetting the 200,000 won payback and the second for bringing a Halloween Costume. Due to the importance of the game, drinking was limited and left up to Dean and Robin. Like most tours, the Deanasaurus and Robin Hefner flirted their way to a spot on the back of the plane and horded the alcohol.

Drinking was light on Thursday night as well. Most made it out for a few pints at the Pot Bellied Pigs Bar. Friday began unlike most tours, with the sober Survivors making it to the pitch with heaps of time to spare. After a long tanning session, the team was prepared for the “Wooden Spoon Match-up.

The Survivors took to the field ready to smash the Rams. The first half was all Survivors. The first try of the game belonged to tour rookie, James “The Rape Alley King”, he scored on an all Aussie Try. D.J. to R.A.K. making the score 5 Survivors and Rams 0.

Shortly after that try, Mason made a penalty giving the Kiwis 3. Aussies 5, Kiwis 3, Survivors 8 and the Rams 0. The next try came off a long run by the Tasmanian Devil, Dwight Johnson. As usual, the most competitive person on the pitch came to compete.Making the score 10 for Aussies and 3 for Kiwis. With the forwards dominating the Rams, it was only fitting the next try be another forwards try.It was the first time the Northern Hemisphere made it to the G-spot of the pitch. “French” Jonathan made a magical try or a try that would definitely go to the video ref in any other game. But none the less, this try gave the Survivors a first half or Forward Half score of 18. To finish the first half in fashion the Survivors scored one more, Mason took the quick ball and dashed in for a 5 meter try. The first half ended with a score of 23 for the Survivors and 0 for the Rams. The Half belonged to the Forwards. They walked over the opposition.

The second half began slowly with the Rams coming out strong. The Rams scored two quick second half scores and converted one to make the score 23 Survivors and 12 Rams.

After a long hard faught defensive half, the Survivors made it into the try zone with a try by “Waterboy.” The try came off a magical run by Richard Jarvis. He must have thought his Korean girl was in the stands. The score now stands Survivors 30 and Rams 12. This was the final score of the game. Great play throughout the game by all the forwards and backs let us walk away without the “Wooden Spoon.

Friday night following the game was a piss-up. The Survivors setup the famous “circle” beneath the drinking tree in Wan Chi. Beers were provided by the local 7-Eleven. Most made it home before sun up to prepare for the All Blacks / Wallabies match on Saturday. Famous Drinkers for Friday night were: Ra the “Drink off Campion” and Maori brother Simon “I’m not coming home till the sun comes up” Walsh.

Saturday was differently a drinking day. Most of the team made their way to Hong Kong Stadium and began consuming many pitchers (180 Hong Kong Dollars a pop).

This made way for many drunken Survivors on hand for the Historic Game. The outcome favored the All Blacks but the night favored the Survivors. Following the game, the Survivors setup shop beneath the “Drinking Tree.” The night was full of pizza, beer, and the occasional rape down “RAPE ALLEY.” It was another fine drinking display by all there.

Sunday was a relaxed day. Some went to Macau. Others went on the Junk Boat and some just went to the airport to sleep after checking in 4 hours early. It was a sound tour by the survivors. We won, we got drunk, some got laid, some got raped, some raped others, some puked their guts up, some lost money, some won money, some got a hangover, most got a tan, and all had a great time.
