Pending Nathan's match analysis, I thought I'd write a few words about the beach rugger. Was a great weekend had by all, everything going off without a hitch, some awesome rugby, lots of sand in all orifii (I guess that's the plural for orifice), a primo feed of sushi on the waterfront, and some brilliant hosting by Rich and the Busan team... especially the 15 000 won all you can drink at their sponsor bar.
Special thanks to Nathan for sussing out the tickets and keeping the morale high. Some great upfront rugby by Dan, Justin and Kyle. A brilliant performance by both Chris's, with the young South African having an especially stirling performance both on and off the field... Craig was as dodgy as ever, Nathan slippery like a rare breed of Australian catfish, Cowboy ran as hard as hell and we also managed to find a new hitman for the Survivors in the form of Jin, who smashed dudes left, right and centre. Although come Sunday it was heard he felt "sick all over"... we know the feeling...
Brian "Paparazzi" Bruckman also put in a magic performance, playing in almost every game and for every team, yet again showing resilience and perhaps some type of genetic anomaly. I did bugger all apart from sifting around in fullback and yelling at people - same as usual.
Top effort by our female counterparts, the Sisters, who played hard and even though short of numbers still pulled out some aggressive code... nice.
All in all, great to bring back the silverware... well, we will if it exists...
